OPTIMAL EXPERIENCE

Our Reformer Pilates courses are conducted in small group sessions, ensuring an optimal experience for all our members.

THE LEVELS

BEGINNER

For individuals that are new to Reformer Pilates or looking for a refresher. In these classes, your instructor will introduce you to foundational Reformer Pilates movements. They'll guide you through transitioning between exercises and recommend the appropriate spring tension for you. Your instructor will closely monitor your form and alignment, offering adjustments when necessary. Additionally, they can tailor certain exercises to better suit your needs, ensuring a supportive and effective learning environment.

IMPROVER

For individuals with a solid understanding of Reformer Pilates, including exercise execution and machine transitions, advancing to the next level means embracing a faster-paced workout. This progression aims to deepen the impact of exercises by requiring participants to maintain alignment and independently adjust their equipment. As workouts intensify, the expectation is for participants to navigate through exercises smoothly with minimal guidance, adapting quickly to the increased demands of their Pilates practice.

INTERMEDIATE

Our Intermediate courses, launching in summer 2024, are designed for those with proficiency in Reformer Pilates. These dynamic and robust classes are suited for individuals who attend sessions regularly and possess a comprehensive understanding of the Reformer repertoire. Participants should have a keen sense of balance and coordination, along with a solid grasp of core stabilization during exercises.

TASTER

Taster sessions provide an introduction to the Pilates Reformer, showcasing all the equipment involved and offering a sense of how it functions. You'll learn the correct placement of your hands and feet in the straps, along with a glimpse into various modifications and progressions of Pilates Reformer exercises. The session concludes with a 20-minute workout, allowing you to experience firsthand the benefits of a Reformer session.

GETTING STARTED

Before diving into our courses, it's essential to get a taste of what Reformer Pilates involves. To ensure you're fully prepared and know what to expect, we require everyone to complete a mandatory group taster session.

These next taster sessions start on the 20th May, with a fee of £15.

This is your first step towards embarking on your Reformer Pilates journey.

THE COURSE

Following your taster session, you're ready to advance to our Reformer Pilates courses. We invite you to join our small group sessions, meticulously designed to enhance your Pilates practice over a 6-week period.

The cost for this transformative experience is £90. For those ready to deepen their engagement with Reformer Pilates and enjoy its comprehensive benefits, further details are available in our FAQs.

  • I have been in the fitness industry for over 30 years, helped a wide range of clients and taught group exercise classes from Spinning to Body Pump, but as I have matured my focus has shifted from the sweaty HIIT type sessions to health & wellbeing.

My Pilates knowledge has helped me teach my clients the best technique for strength & resistance training, improve their posture, increase mobility and build a strong core - staying healthy & injury free for longer.

In 2022 I widened my Pilates knowledge with Reformer Pilates training. Using the Reformer on its own or alongside strength & cardio equipment has helped so many of my clients overcome injuries and achieve their goals.

JULIA

Profile picture of Pilates instructor
  • I’m a mum of one, a wife, and a Pilates Instructor, and I know how busy life can be, but I believe it is important to take care of yourself. This is why I got into Pilates. I had a road accident in 2013, I was on a bike and was hit by a van, although there were no bones broken, my back hurt. Nothing the doctors did made it any better. Then, I was recommended Pilates by the hospital pain clinic, and that moment altered the course of my life. After a few years of self-practice I realised I wanted to take my Pilates to the next level. This led me to starting on the journey to become a certified Body Control Pilates instructor. As our beautiful bodies age, I realised that strength training is important so I went to learn Kettlebell. I love my practise on Pilates reformer and so it seemed obvious to me to train on this and am now a qualified reformer teacher delighted to share this beautiful piece of equipment with the world.
