What do members need to do before a Health MOT?
Our Health MOT focuses on 6 key areas – Cardio, Strength, Mind, Balance, Body Composition, Mobility. Cardio and Strength measurements are taken on our equipment separately so to have a reading prior to a Health MOT session we recommend members to attend a Biostrength induction for strength. For Cardio, please book in for a VO2 test.
What is Checkup?
Checkup is a comprehensive health evaluation using the latest technology to measure your fitness levels through a range of tests. There are 6 readings available: Balance, Body composition, Mobility, Cardio, Strength and Mind. Only 4 tests are completed on the unit itself and the remaining two (cardio and strength) are completed on gym equipment.
This assessment provides detailed insights and personalised recommendations to help you achieve your health goals.
What should I expect during the assessment?
This will cover 4 main areas: Body composition, Balance, Mobility and Mind. We recommend that you complete a Biostrength induction beforehand for strength reading. Your specialist instructor will accompany you throughout the session offering insight into your readings and how they can be improved going forwards. The process is non-invasive and designed to be comfortable. After your assessment your trainer will work with you and your results to create a personalised programme designed to improve your overall wellness age. Please arrive to the session wearing your usual gym attire.
How long does the assessment take?
The session will typically take about 60 minutes to complete, depending on the specific tests exercises performed.

Ages 13-15: Access is limited to the 1st floor, featuring cardio machines, biostrength equipment, and a selection of light free weights.
Ages 16 and over: Full access to all gym facilities.

For members 18 and older: We recommend attending a 20-minute group induction focusing on Cardio, Strength, or BioStrength equipment. These sessions, limited to 5 participants, cover equipment features, technique, and safety. You're welcome to book multiple sessions.
For Juniors (13-15 years): A junior group induction is mandatory before using the gym facilities.

You are free to share equipment with others, but please be considerate. Note that private personal training sessions are prohibited as we offer this service.

Users must wipe down equipment before and after use. Disposable wipes are available throughout the gym for this purpose.
Complimentary sweat towels are provided at the entrance, but please do not use these for equipment cleaning.
