ABOUT US
Colets Nursery, located within the purpose-built Childcare Centre at Colets Health & Fitness, offers high-quality childcare for children from three months old through to school age.
Established in 2006 and set in the heart of Thames Ditton - just a short walk from the train station - our nursery has been thoughtfully designed by experienced childcare professionals. Every space has been carefully planned to create a nurturing, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported to grow into confident and happy individuals.

Set amidst a 15-acre expanse in a thriving health club, our location provides ample opportunities for children to enjoy the outdoors.

Meal times, offered by our Early Years catering company, provide our children with nutritious meals which are a great way to educate our children about the food on our plates and where it comes from.

OPENING TIMES
Open for 51 weeks a year, we provide consistent childcare for our children, operating Monday - Friday between 7:30 - 18:30, ensuring comprehensive care and education throughout the day.

OUR CURRICULUM
At Colets Nursery, we understand that every child is unique. We believe that by working closely with our parents and families of the children we can identify the best ways to ensure your child reaches their full potential.
Our 108-place nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory guidelines offering a comprehensive, enhanced curriculum, including a wide range of activities and experiences that provide our children with endless learning opportunities through play.

- In-house softplay
Our highly qualified Early Years Educators provide engaging, educational activities that support development across all seven areas of the EYFS framework. As part of a Colets Health & Fitness Club, we are more than just childcare, as we offer the entire family a healthy lifestyle.
We place a strong emphasis on physical development, language & communication and social & emotional growth. This is our recipe for a successful transition to the ‘big’ school.

Drop Off
Smooth and Supportive
Our team understands the importance of a successful drop off. We're here to make the experience as smooth as possible.
Parents are welcomed by the nursery management team at the childcare reception. They then head to their child’s classroom to sign the online register and meet their child’s educator.
Your child will then be offered breakfast and invited to join the morning activities.

Circle Time
Educator-led learning
After breakfast each morning, our educators lead a group session called ‘circle time’. These planned activities support the children’s learning goals and might include Spanish, nursery rhymes, counting, or preparing for an event.
Circle time is also a chance to introduce new topics in a fun, engaging way, with educators guiding the children through each activity.

Free Play
Child-led play
Our classrooms are designed to be stimulating and inviting, with activities and resources tailored to the children’s interests and development goals.
During free play, educators set up engaging activities and are always on hand to join in, helping to extend play and support learning whenever possible.

Lunch
Family-Style Dining
We know how important it is for children to enjoy meals that are both healthy and tasty. We pride ourselves on providing balance, nutrition, and delicious meals - from breakfast and snacks to lunch and tea. Our specialist early years catering company offers a wide variety of healthy, tasty options and caters to every child’s needs, whether due to intolerances, allergies, or personal preferences.
We promote a family-style dining experience, where educators join small groups of children. Kids are encouraged to serve themselves and others, if they like, while enjoying mealtime chats with friends and educators.

Sleep
Calm Nap Time
We create a peaceful environment for sleep with quiet music and individual mats or cots. Babies follow their home sleep routines, while older children usually nap at the same time.
We understand every child’s sleep needs are different, so your Key Worker will discuss your child’s preferences. Comfort items like pacifiers and bottles are welcome and stored in your child’s sleep bag.
Children who don’t nap can rest with friends or enjoy a quiet activity with an educator.

Outdoor Play
Outdoor Fun and Exploration
Our nursery is set on spacious, private grounds, giving children plenty of room to explore. The purpose-built garden features climbing frames, a playhouse, ride-on toys, and gardening tools to learn about planting and growing.
Our outdoor areas are thoughtfully set up for imaginative play, just like our classrooms. Educators also lead activities like conker hunts and nature crafts.
Our children enjoy outdoor time every day!

Tea
Wholesome Tea Time
Tea is the second cooked meal of the day, carefully prepared to be full of nutritional value and variety.
It’s enjoyed in the same warm, family-style manner as lunch, giving children the chance to share food together, build social skills, and end their day with a nourishing, satisfying meal.

Collection
Smooth Collection Time
Just like drop-off, collection is an important part of the day. Our educators ensure a positive handover, sharing what your child has been up to and encouraging them to share their favorite moments.
Your child’s educators will be available to answer questions and chat, giving you a chance to get to know them better. We value open communication!
MENU
Colets nursery understands that a balanced diet is vital for children’s growth and development and we have teamed up with Slice of Pie who organise our lunch and tea menus in order to ensure children are health and with a range of different foods throughout the week. We accommodate all dietary requirements and work alongside parents to support meal plans too.

Head of Early Years
My name is Monika.I am a passionate Early Years professional with over 22 years of experience managing people and tasks.
I feel privileged to be appointed as Colets Head of Early Years department (Nursery and Creche).
My passion is creating a happy, safe, and enriching environment where children can flourish to their maximum potential, the Team can grow professionally, and families feel fully involved in the nursery life.
I hold a level 7 Master’s degree in Special Education Needs pedagogy and an Early Years Educator Diploma.
I am driven by improvement, starting from myself to keep my knowledge up to date, and then upskilling my team.
I am confident that our team will grow from strength to strength and keep providing the highest level of childcare and preschool education rich in unforgettable experiences, stimulating children’s curiosity, and optimising their development.

Hi I'm JacquiI'm the Nursery Manager and have had the pleasure of being part of this team for 17 years. A little background on me;
I was raised in the stunning country South Africa, with my sister and parents. After many years England became my home again, where I met my husband and we had our beautiful, very energetic teenage daughter whom we are very proud of.
As a family we like to spend weekends together doing things like paddle boarding, bike rides and watching my daughter play football. In any other spare time i enjoy gym classes, watching tv series and I love to try out new recipes.

Deputy Nursery Manager | Education Lead
Hello, my name is Onyinye, I was born in Nigeria, and I moved to England when I was 7 years old. I have always loved working with children and my passion only developed further when I studied early childhood studies in university. It educated me on psychological, political, philosophical and sociological issues that shape the lives of young children in society. Whilst in my third year, I also completed an early years teacher course. This allowed me to learn methods of teaching in preparation for school readiness. As Deputy Manager - Education Lead, I have the pleasure in supporting our staff in their understanding of early years education and the impact it has on children's later development.
