Colets Triathlon 2019

Apr 24, 2019 |

On Sunday 9th of June 2019 Colets will be hosting their very first triathlon.

From 12pm, up to 60 members will be able to put their fitness and willpower to the test with a 400m Swim, 20km Cycle and 5km Run. We will be timing the triathlon but this is far from a race, whatever your fitness level is we encourage you to take part and help us to raise money for Momentum Children’s Charity.

On the day

The first participants will enter the pool at 12pm, once the swim is completed you will have 5 minutes to dry off, change if needed and set up your bike (this 5 minutes will be taken off your final time). After the cycle you will take to the field and finish off with a 5km run. After the race we will provide everyone with some light refreshments but please do bring your own water and food if needed.

Start times will be staggered and we will be asking everyone to arrive with plenty of time to prepare. We will also ask all participants to count the lengths completed by the participant before them. We want this to be an inclusive event and any help offered to set-up and run the triathlon will be greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to ask Stefan Atanasov, Kathy Stewart or Nick Andrews any questions relating to the Triathlon.

How to enter

Please contact Nick, nicka@colets.co.uk, to register for the triathlon. You will need to provide your full name, t-shirt size and 400m swim time. We will be using this time to help stagger the start times to hopefully make the triathlon run as smoothly as possible. Due to space restrictions in the pool and on the bikes we will be limiting the number of entries so please register quickly if you would like to take part.

All participants must be over 16 years old and be competent swimmers.

We look forward to receiving lots of entries and hope to make this an annual event in the future.
